    electric hot water heater on/off switch

    Has anyone performed a Mod to move the switch inside to the control panel or has GD already done this? I never understood why the switch is outside with the tank (and can get wet) and not side by side the gas on/off switch.

    My 379 has a switch inside and on the water heater. Both have to be on
    2018 Freedom Elite 24FE, 2 Yorkies, and my wife MARILYN, HAM call K0LCB. Traveling around this great country, making friends and seeing lot of beautiful and interesting places

    I see from some of your previous posts that you're considering a Solitude purchase. Both the gas and electric switches are side by side on the interior control panel on the solitude models.

    The outside switch is a safety, so you don't fry the water heater when it's drained. it's meant to be an idiot check for us absent minded people lol
