Furrion radio, what is a good aftermarket choice

MY 2015 328M has the wonderful Furrion in it and I have not used rig yet as we bought in October but opened it up yesterday and radio just says service on screen?
Brand new and dead, dealer ordered a new one already I love the customer service from GD and dealer!!!
But there has to be a brand better than the turds?
It has the DVD player in, anyone have any suggestions?

GD you need to use better stereo stuff, that is only thing I would choose to update by 100% other than that here we go into spring, lets go out and play! Brett

Should be a small little recessed button on the front of the unit. Use a toothpick or something similar to press and hold for a second.

As far as I have found through my research there isn't a plug and play replacement. There are plenty of options if you want to reconfigure the entire system/mount lash up.

I changed out the TV to a Sony Smart TV, Bluray player and added a Sony Bluetooth sound bar. Looks and sounds great and streams iPod music and Netflix movies flawlessly. Also uses less than half the power of the Furrion TV and head set. Never use the main Furrion head anymore and didn't have to mess with replacing it or changing out the speakers in the ceiling. The cost of the 3 added items was around the same as any of the high end replacement whole home systems (head only) I looked at (Sony, Alpine, Bose).

I hit the reset nothing also
now it just keeps trying to unload a disk or something, What a piece of crap,

GD this is an area I think we all would agree needs to be addressed , building a great unit and a sub par head unit? WHY?

OK after lots of reading I found another option,
The Jensen DV2011 model will replace the Furrion, 3100,5100 models,
saw it on other forums that have same issue with Furrion crap

Wonder if I buy it will GD pay for install?

anyone else try a Jensen,,have in my boat and seems ok ??

Found that Jensen has a unit that will work. It is Jensen DV2011 (12 VDC Disc Player/Receiver). Will probably go with this unit later.

The question is does it have HDMI outputs, 3 speaker zones and Bluetooth in addition to DVD?
