refrigerators choice
What are the Pro's and Con's regarding Dual Mode and Residential type refrigerators. In particular running costs? Placing order this week for 379fl, and only item open for discussion is ref. choice, I prefer Dual, DW just wants cold and large. I hear contrasting stories about which run is the more costly to run.
Thanks
Dennis

Overall, I would think the Gas/Electric would cost more to run and upkeep. However.. As we sit here now, mine is sitting in storage running. Something I wouldn't be able to do with a residential. I just have a 15w battery tender which is more than enough to keep everything charged battery drain wise. I also have the 18cf Norcold which is massive..

We decided to go with the Gas/Electric 18CF also. Don't need to worry where or when we stop while running on propane. When we get to a campground and plug in it switches to electric. If no electric we don't need to worry when dry camping. We do have a small generator, but would rather only run that to charge the battery when necessary.
