Equalizer hitch 2 point or 4 point?

For an Imagine 2600RB and Ram 1500, do I need the Equalizer 2 point or the four point hitch?

    Welcome to the forum!

I'd always recommend that you choose the option that provides the most sway control...the 4 point. Can't have too much!

I have an Equal-I-Zer 90-00-1000 4 point hitch rated for up to 10,000 lbs. that I used on my Jayco 27rsl White Hawk for a couple months and it worked great. I started pulling the trailer with the 2 point Equal-I-Zer hitch and pulled the trailer twice before I went back and traded it for a new 4 point. Big difference between the two highly recommend the 4 point hitch. I pulled my trailer with it about six times and had it pulling nice then decided that I wanted to get something bigger in a 5th wheel trailer. Now the hitch is setting in the garage go figure.

When I had a travel trailer, I used the 4-point Equal-i-zer Hitch, rated at 10K pounds. Great hitch, but make sure the bolts that hold the head to the shank are grade 8, not grade 5. Reason for this is if your hitch weight is above 1000 pounds, you might break one of the bolts. I broke a bolt and bent the head of the hitch while on a trip, had to end up purchasing a Reese dual cam hitch as nobody had a hitch rated at 10K or above except Camping World in Nashville at that time. Got my money back on the Equal-i-zer due to being still under warranty. This was back in 2005, so hopefully they have upgraded their bolts by now.
