ID:	4001any ideas on replacing these crappy speakers? they are plastic welded in. The grille is separate from the housing. So I was thinking one could slip behind the grille with a knife and cut the studs. Replacing the speaker with a better one however Im not sure about. 1 finding the right size speaker and 2 securing it back in the housing with the grill. Maybe glue it back in, but then if you had to replace down the road might be a pain, or two make some sort of bracket to secure it in. decisions decisions. lol thanks for any input

Do they even make 'good' speakers that will fit in there that sound half way descent?

Im having a hard time finding a marine grade speaker that size. its actually a 2" speaker i believe. Other 2" speakers Ive found having a mounting diameter of 2.6"

also the depth shouldn't be a problem. theres plenty of room behind there

Mine are in the side wall, they figured the awning speakers were a mistake but mine are just bigger crappy sounding speakers 10 feet in the air. If I can find the wires I'm going to mount some good marine speakers underneath. The awning and sidewall speakers are too high up, I'm sitting on the ground and don't want them blasting so I can hear them (and everyone else within 100 feet)

You might want to check out "rock the boat audio" they have marine, hot tub, etc types of speakers.

Awning speakers are horrible and I have not heard wall speakers that sounded much better. Purchased 110v blue tooth speaker. Portable and easy to store and sounds great. Though it is not as portable as a battery or rechargeable you have to decide how important the sound quality is to you. We bought the Acoustics Research Hatteras(yep, it's a lighthouse). The light is an on/off/dimable, or can be set to pulse with the music.

I have the same awning speakers and Furrion stereo to drive them. I ended up purchasing the "ue boom 2" http://www.amazon.com/s/ref=sr_qz_ba...qid=1459185315 to replace the outdoor speakers. The sound quality is great, can be moved, bluetooth to your phone or Furrion (although the Furrion range is short) and, connected to phone or TV through a 3.5mm cable. The speaker has a ring on the top that allows you to attach a strap or hook, I am adding a hook inside the passenger side storage bay and will connect it to the outside TV. In those places that outdoor music and TV are acceptable what came with the trailer simply does not work.
