350M, furnace heat in the garage
I was told at the dealer walkthrough that the garage is zone 3. My 350 has 3 ac's. This morning I'm running the furnace, zone 3, like zone 1, only shows a cooling option, and fan setting, but nothing for furnace. I only see ceiling ducts in the garage, so is the heat for this zone (3) simply circulated in from the other zones? I know zone 1 and 2 are ducted for furnace, I see those and feel the heat, but curious about zone 3 in regards to furnace. Also, zone 3 in the Auto fan mode doesn't seem to do anything while the furnace is running, rather I have to manually select a fan speed.. does this seem about right? Thanks

350M, furnace heat in the garage
Your garage has a heater vent close to the floor under the half bath door. It doesn't do much to hear that area as there isn't any insulation under the floor in the garage. We purchased a small ceramic heater to use back there and it's perfect. I will be insulating my garage floor one day I the future.

saying the momentums have a heated garage is, well, a fact. But its hardly enough to keep stuff from freezing when things get really cold. Like GD350M we also have a ceramic heater in the garage, but before we inter in our 338m next year, i will be insulating the floor.....

After full timing for 9-months while building a house, we've largely switched to electric heat (as long as we're plugged in). Propane heat works great, but it consumes a ton of propane...

+1 on the use of electric heat when possible. We also FullTime in our 380, and the ducting in the garage directs little heat from the furnace there, but not enough to matter. The furnace is a propane hog and we rarely use it. We carry a ceramic heater for the garage and another for the living area to supplement the fireplace. Between those, we are able to stay comfortable down into the 30's.

Understand the electric heater angle, we also have them, this was just a quick blast to knock the chill out of the air and then the curiosity began! Ha ha. Btw, I never noticed the vent below the garage bathroom door!

While the furnace maybe an LP hog, it's cheaper to run than electric heat. At least it is where we are staying in the Reno area. LP is $1.79/g, while electric is $0.35/Kw. Much cheaper with LP as the primary.

Ditto. We're only paying about $0.13/KWh. But, wintering in FL we've used much more AC than heat.

Last year while living in upstate NY, out electric was &0.07/Kw. And LP was around 2.75-3.00/ gallon..... But we were in a less than insulated Work and Play 5th wheel TH. Rarely used AC, but used the heck out of the furnace from March to May and then again in October and November....
This GD is WAY better insulated than the WP. We have only used about 60 gallons of LP yet this year. But the temps are also moderate here versus NY or MI.... Lows in the high twenty's were the worst we've seen, normally the lows bottomed out around 35. Highs had been in the 50's until the beginning of this month. Now it's 60-70's... Getting nice
