    Imagine wheel chocks

What is everyone using for wheel chocks?

I have just the cheap camco yellow ones and get a ton of front to back sway. I want to purchase the kind that expand between the wheels to make it more stable. However, I am not sure which size. I found that I have about a 9" space between the wheels and don't know if I need the extended size or regular size. I read reviews that the regular size expand to just 10" and that might not be enough, right?

    Thanks

    George

Camco. I want the Fastway ones you step on and it spreads out between the wheels. But haven't figured out a way to justify spending the extra money. About 50 bucks each. Maybe Santa will be good to me this year..... I just bought memory foam toppers for the bunks $$. Ladder $$$. Shower door $$. Grill and stove $$$. Saw a cartoon where this RV'r is shouting "Shut up and take my money!".

When I started RVing in my 94 Shasta I used a rock. The guy that bought it - couple years back - took the rock with him.

I use the X-Chocks also. Do not use the cheap plastic chocks. I have seen trailers move too much with those.

Big honkin' rubber jobs I bought at Northern Tool. Cheap and they get the job done. http://www.northerntool.com/shop/too...4354_200594354 Set the rears, then back up on them slightly and set your truck brakes and put the transmission in park. Set the fronts tightly, release the truck brakes and put the transmission in neutral. Everything should rock forward slightly. Do it right and most of the rock is gone.

Solid rubber looks good. Nice price. Fastway has one you step on and it wedges them between the 2 wheels. Not sure how it works but like the concept. Like the x- chocks as well. I thought I was stepping up when I went from a rock to the yellow Camco chocks. Didn't realize there were so many ways to chock the wheels.

First trip this past weekend with the x-chocks, noticeable difference from the regular plastic chocks, much more stable.
    Take care,
