Leaky slide out?
We picked up our 2016 Imagine 2800BH last month. I went in it with the slide closed during a rain storm and noticed a stream of water running off both sides of the slide out onto the floor. The dealer found the roof was manufactured incorrectly (preventing the top gasket from sealing against the slide top) and fixed it under GD warranty.
There is still a smaller amount of water that ran onto the floor when I started running the slide out. Do others experience some water coming in when their slide is closed and it rains? Or does it stay completely dry under all typical conditions?

Sorry to hear about your problem. I would go to the Tech Corner forum and post it for customer service to look at. I can say that I never saw water in my Passport. Haven't used my Imagine much but haven't seen water anywhere.

I haven't purchased my Imagine yet, but water should not be getting in no matter if the slide is closed or open. That's just not right. Take the good advice of the previous poster.

I have had mine in some pretty heavy rains, both stationary with the slide out and pulling with the slide in. I haven't had any water get into the trailer.
Take care,
Chris

Ok I will take it back up with the dealer. I have the slide in and it's raining right now and there is water running in on top of the slide. Thanks for the perspective.

Sounds like the top seal on the slide is not sealing right. Either it's not installed right or the slides not closing right.
Looks like GD uses the Scwintek type slide mechanism. Not positive but I think the motors need to be sync's to make the slide close right. Maybe your motors are out of sync and the tops not closing all the way. An 1/8" would be all that's needed to allow water to run in easily.

That's an interesting possibility - I noticed before it wasn't perfectly even top to bottom on the outside. How does it work? Are there motors at the top and bottom?

There is only a motor at the top, and an aluminum shaft connect the bottom gear. Long store on how they say they work.
