Reinforcing Hitch on a 303 to pull a boat- Thoughts, experience or advice?

We have a 2016 303 and are considering having the hitch increased to be able to pull an 18.5 ft fishing boat. We realize it will void the warranty, but curious if others have done this and what your advice is about it. We see it done all the time in our area but would like some info before we would actually do something.
    Thanks, Shelly

I would take it to a local welding shop to get an estimate. I think you should be able to get it done for around $300.00. I don't know about your model but I've read several posts of others that had it done. When we purchased our last 5th wheel I considered having it done. The dealer offered to do it for $300.00. They said if they did it wouldn't void the warranty.

We camped next to a family from MN last summer who owned (2nd owner) 2014 Reflection 303 number 5 produced. The original owner had welded a heavy duty 2" receiver hitch to the frame. The MN family was pulling a 20' +/- fiberglass pleasure/ski boat and he said it worked well. Our local GDRV dealer uses a couple different welding shops to install these hitches for about $400. I contacted and talked with Lippert (LCI) last year regarding installing a hitch and they shared the frame warranty would be voided if done by a local shop but if LCI installed the hitch in Indiana, the frame warranty would not be voided.

    Jerry--nicely done hitch/rack install !
