    Air Compressor

I am looking for a reasonably priced air compressor for home use that can deliver 80 psi for our camper and truck tires. Can any recommend one?

    Thanks.

I have the Viair 400P-RV compressor. Unfortunately, it's more than you want to spend but it's the best portable compressor I've ever used. It goes everywhere with us. The compressor is built like a tank and connects directly to your battery terminals. It was recommended to me by a fellow RV'er and I'm so glad I spent the extra money for it.

I found this on sale for $100 a couple years ago that I keep in the trailer. I have a 30 gallon Craftsman in my garage.

EDIT: I guess I should have added that I have an on-board generator so I don't need to rely on 12v, I always have 110 available. That obviously makes a difference on what to carry.

Thank you. I have a small pancake compressor I keep in our camper. I found a Kobalt compressor at Lowes today on wheels that will work great at home. I believe it is an 8 gallon. Used it after we got home today on the truck tires to bring them up to 80psi. Worked great.

    My Compressed Air "Kit"

This is what I put together for my compressed air "kit".
4 trailer tires, 4 truck tires, airbags on the truck and an airbag in the pinbox.
Senco PC1010N - Lightweight (21 lbs), Oil Free, 135 psi, Quiet (68 dB), 4 amps @ 115 (easy on my GenSet).
The reason I went this route is that I wanted this to be the last air compressor I will ever buy.
It's commercial duty. It's not a speed demon, but it gets the job done.
It's not going to drive an impact wrench, but that's not my goal. Inflation is what I am set up for.
And I love the new hose. I have used and owned more compressed air hose in the last 40 years than I care to admit. This is by far the best.
And after years of use, I decided to not reuse any of my old fittings, so I equipped this kit with new fittings. My old ones had seen their better days.

1+ Poppy's compressor. Picked it up at Lowe's on sale. Got it for a portable compressor to use with my nail guns but it also works well for inflating tires. I have a 20 gal. in the garage that's too big to tote. Like that Senco Jamey. I have a similar air hose I picked up at Home Depot. They are nice too.

I did the same, bought this unit. I was stuck if I ever needed to top off to 110psi as I didn't have a source. Now on a pre-departure walk around before pulling out I can get to the proper pressure.

I have the 450P (Non-RV), picked it up pretty cheap. You can use most PVC hoses with it, as well as most connectors. I've had mine for years. It lives in my truck, I've used it for everything from a basket ball to 44" Super Swampers. It also has enough pressure to set the bead on tires, which is extremely valuable.
