    We have one screw between the entry door and the rear of the trailer approx 12-15 feet I guess ...

    I’m not sure what if anything can be done about it ..... i was also thinking the same .... aluminium painted black may not be the best choice ...I will see what GD has to say ... my biggest concern is where is the water going when the j wrap breaks the silicone seal

    I removed he lower panels (mostly) and slotted the screw holes slightly. This eliminated about 80% of the heat warping I was experiencing. "Slightly" means about the diameter of the screw head.
    It didn't require an engineer, but I are one.

    Okay, now we're getting somewhere. I think you and Powerscol are on it. That's why my Dad was the engineer in the family and I melted a bunch of metal stuff together. Three questions. 1) Aluminum not silconed to anything like the molding? 2) What else locked it in place? Mine is on the left side so the fender skirt, gas station box, and ladder all lock the aluminum down. 3) Does your molding stay attached now with the little warping you still get?

    I've never had a problem with detaching either before or after enlarging the screw holes. In areas where outside fitments are attached, I worked as close as I could without disturbing those. I wasn't really aiming for perfection, just smoothing out the worst areas. There is still a bit of warping, but after a couple drinks I don't really notice it.
