Need Input on Proper Fifth Wheel Hitch

Purchased a new 3500 Silverado Crew Cab 6 ½ foot bed Duramax diesel Need Input on Proper Fifth Wheel Hitch I just Purchased a Momentum M-Class 350M 38' I have gotten multiple input but I would like to know the Best Hitch for this Configuration. I’ve narrowed it down to B&W Companion Hitch, or a Curt Slider.

We bought a curt slider to get ours home then decided to go with a goosebox. So far my husband has been happy with it. I've heard good things about the others but we have no personal experience with them.

For a conventional hitch, the B&W is very popular and the one I'd choose. However, if you want to significantly smooth out your ride, I'd recommend looking at the Hensley air hitches. We bought the BD3 for our Reflection and it's amazing to see how much the air bags smooth out the ride. I would never buy a conventional hitch after using the Hensley BD3 air hitch. But that's just me! You will get 50 other recommendations. Good choice on the truck BTW :-)

What are your priorities? Cost? Weight of the hitch? Slider vs fixed?

If you want my humble opinion, after reading about too many instances of broken back windows in short-bed pickups I went with a PullRite SuperGlide for my 350M. It's been one of those purchases that I've never regretted -- I simply LOVE that I never have to worry about whether or not I'm going to hit my window, or if I should get out to slide the hitch, etc.

Yes, it's heavy (~230lbs) but I have no need to frequently remove it from the bed.

I paid around $1800 all-in, including the SuperRails that leave you with a clean bed, from Dyers RV. Installed it myself so I know it was done right.

We also have a air-ride hitch. We went with airsafe and have been very happy with it. They also have a slider version now.

I've been very happy with my B&W. I got th slider and it works well but I haven't had to use slider much yet, I think it would be really really tight spots.

In any case would go with slider hitch if you have short bed and can't make hard turn backing up without breaking something. I've had Pull Rite and as sliders go they are top rated and expensive. Curt makes good hitch but would only get an auto slider like the Pull Rite. I've got the the 24 k Curt now for my 385, but don't need slider with long bed. Good luck.

OK, I'm going to open that can of worms.
    Andersen Ultimate 2 hitch.
It's all it's advertised to be.
I have a F250 short bed diesel pulling a 14,000# 369RL and I could not be any more pleased with this hitch.
Geeze, it is lightweight to move, reasonable cost, NO noise whatsoever, it just works.
Warranty issues....none. The noise about voiding warranties is just that, noise.
There are about 10,000 of these in use representing 100's of thousands of miles and not one reported failure.
