Beware What may be in the Carpet of your unit

My wife and I took our 2016 Reflection 303rls out this last week in for a few days checking everything out before some extended trips coming up this spring. While walking around in the bed room I felt something sharp stick me on the bottom of my foot. After looking closer I discovered a lot of debris buried deep in the carpet. We ran a sweeper over the carpet several times after picking up the unit but to our surprise I still found 12 metal staples and a lot of splinter shaped pieces of wood caught up in the carpet. I will attempt to attach a photo of some of the staples I found and they would hurt if stepped on. Thought I would give a WARNING shout out that you may want to check your units carpet very carefully.

We experienced something similar with our unit - but mostly the wood chips and splinters. The Dyson has been good about getting them up and out and the bedroom seems to be clean, now. We also still have some wood crumbs and sawdust bouncing out of nooks and crannies on rough roads after more than 7,000 miles of travel.

I had the same in my 303. Stepped on a couple . A lot of staples were not all the way in and some had only half stuck with the pointed end sticking up . I crawled around and pulled or hammered down the ones sticking up. I was not happy either.

Same thing in our 380TH stepped on one right in front of the double recliner nothing like a puncture wound. Left it there for the dealer to deal with and they could not find it so I had to point it out to them. Luckily it was me and not one of the grand kids! !
