Emergency Contact Info
I'm considering a red 2" X 6" sign placed next to or on our trailer door.
The sign would read:
Emergency Contact
Phone #1
Phone #2
The two phone numbers would be our cell phones...
What say you? A good idea? Asking for trouble?

Most campgrounds have your contact number from when you registered or reserved. Personally I wouldn't be comfortable with my number pasted to the door. There are too many nut cases out there . Even most state and national forests have hosts these days.

+1 You wouldn't post that on your house - why do it here. The campground has your number.

I registered on the National Do Not Call list. Now I get two or three telemarketing calls a week. I don't need anymore calls

LC - funny you mention that. I've been on the DNC list for years and it worked well. However, the last year or so I get a myriad of calls from area codes across the country with most being robocalls with no message. Now I don't answer the phone if the Caller ID is not someone I know. Arrggghhh!

I get more calls now than before I registered. I've filled out over a dozen complaint forms

We have a picture of our 2 dogs with our cell #'s on it that we laminated and stick in the window when we are gone. Want someone to rescue them if the need arises and give us a call.

Actually, I do have my cell phone numbers listed on the back door of our house. If the police or fire department need to contact us while on the road, they can. As for anyone else getting the number, I've never had a problem with it. One thing we do put on our rig is a sign that says "dog on board, please rescue in an emergency".

Same for me. But have always wondered I'd anyone has this situation as well-if I talk to someone in CA, I will get a TM call from CA within a couple days. IL, TX, wherever, same thing. Anyone else notice this? How do they even have this information??

Yep- I'm experiencing something similar. It also seems that we'll get solicitation calls from areas we've recently been. Most of these seem to be robo calls as they don't leave a message. Im now in the habit of not answering my phone unless it's a caller is id'd as someone I know. We changed to Verizon from many years with ATT last spring. Though I kept the same phone number, I don't remember getting these when I was on ATT, so maybe Verizon is selling info?
