    New owners of The awesome 388M

    Will take delivery in one week of our 2017 GD 388M. Is there any thing I should make sure to check out during walk through? Dealer is 3 hrs away so don't want to miss any thing.

    The height of the HappiJac beds is often wrong. Put the ladder in place when the beds are lowered and see if it reaches the top bunk.

    Thanks will do. What about this "kantleak" valve any thing to check or worry about

    They dumped the Kantleak system. You'll have the Nautilus system.

    Make sure the frig fires and re-fires on gas. Several folks (including me) have found the igniter gapped incorrectly.
    Make sure the fuel gauge is wired correctly for the gen and aux tanks. Several have been backwards.
    Check that the dealer did a break adjustment and checked the seals.

    They may have started checking for these at the factory because I haven't seen them reported lately, but they used to be pretty common problems along with the hapi-jac issue. I left mine high so had more room to get my Polaris Ranger in.

    Enjoy the new trailer, I'm sure you'll be very happy with it.

    Check out EVERYTHING. Take your time and don't let them rush you. Some of it may seem silly but the only way to verify is to check.

    Also, check things on both shore power & battery and city water & pump. Good luck!
