Just Bought 2016 27RL no auto level

Hi all,
I just bought a new 2016 27Rl and am going through it and it doesnt have auto level. Isnt this supposed to be standard on all the 5th wheel models?

I see this is your first post. Welcome to the forum! According to the specification page on the website, it is a mandatory option? (I'm not sure why you would call something mandatory an option) But the specifications change frequently, and sometimes the GD website doesn't track what's being done in the factory real time. In addition, your 27RL may have been put into production before the auto level was made a mandatory option. If you would like a response from GD, you can post this question in the Tech Corner of this forum. GD reads and responds to that area of the forum. But be advised, if you do post a question there, the first thing they'll ask you to do is put your VIN number in the "about me" section under the "my profile" tab listed at the top of this page. You can also call customer service at
574-825-9679. Have your VIN number handy, and they can look up the build history and let you know why it doesn't have auto level. They are great folks to work with and will make sure your questions are answered.

Once again, welcome to the forum, and congratulations on your new Fifth Wheel. Even without the auto level, it's a really nice RV that is backed by a great company.

I just picked up my 27RL yesterday and it does have Auto Level. From what Ive read, it looks like they did a mid year change for the 2016 models and added the Auto Level, among other things.

GDRV started installing Ground Control 3.0 electric auto-level on all Reflections sometime in Aug 2015...mid 2016 model year. Seen on our plant tour during last year's rally.

When we picked up our 303 (same bloodlines) the auto level was covered during our PDI... And we were coached on how to use it when we first hitched up...

When did you discover yours was missing? Just curious...

When we looked at ours in early December the dealer had two 2016 Reflection 337RLS trailers in stock. One with auto level, one without. There were a few other differences. One was built late summer and the other was built in the fall. We took the later build to get the mid year changes. As per Dave's post Grand Design added auto leveling mid year.

We have auto level. Just met some folks with the same 5W and they do not.

Just got our 27rl on the 9th and it has auto level Ground Control 3

Our 2016 (manufacture date 4/2015) does not have auto level. Yours must be an early build also. I figure we saved $2900.
