    Drove our new 27RL home

    Hello everyone,
    I have been reading the forum for a couple months now, and appreciate all I learned from you. We picked up our Reflection 27RL today and used the knowledge from you already. I checked the tire pressure with the new digital gage I just purchased, and one tire only had 37 psi. Checked the brakes before we left, and they barely grabbed when the controller was boosted all the way to 10. The dealer was good, and took care of these right away. So we left with all tires fully inflated, and working brakes.

    Debbie and I started camping in a tent on our honeymoon. As children came along, first we went to a larger tent, then to a pop-up. We took the pop-up all over the US these last 18 years, logging over 94,000 miles. Our kids are pretty well grown now, so it is time for a new phase in our camping, we moved up to the fifth wheel. We chose a smaller one because we still want to camp in rustic areas. You have given me many good ideas for mods, it won't be long before I start them on our 27RL. The first thing will be installing a battery monitor.

    Welcome and congratulations on the new unit.

    Make sure to have your new pressure gauge checked against a master gauge. I have seen many brand name gauges off in readings right out of the "box".

    Dave & Debbie--welcome to a positive and helpful forum.......great place to learn and share. Your story sounds like ours and many others here. Carol and I also started our camping in a new Sears tent (we still have it) in the late 70s......the GDRV is a little nicer and does have more features !
