Question ?s about 303 SleepSofa, Theatre Seats, and Cabinets, Oh My

Hello, folks! It's almost time to pick up our 303, yippee! But weeks have passed since we've stepped inside the little monster, so these inquiring minds need some reminders... Pertaining to the Reflection 303rls...

    1. What is the size of the bed of the sleepsofa? Queen? Full?

    2. Does the A / C blow onto the sleepsofa (when opened for the bed)?

    3. Do the theatre seats recline when the sofa is in the (opened) bed position? A little? Alot? Not at all?

    4. What is the height of the opening of the cabinets above the sofa?

    5. Moving up into the master, does anyone have a handy measurement of the storage area under the master bed, including height?

    Just planning ahead. Many thanks!

Now's when it gets exciting! Since the living room area of your 303 and my 337 are nearly the same, I can answer some of the questions.

    1. It's a queen.
    2. You can direct the AC onto the sleeper sofa.
    3. Not at all.
    4. From the top of the mattress to the bottom of the cabinet is 47 inches.
    5. our bed may or may not be the same. Our storage area is 14" high, 39" long, and 49" wide (inside measurements).

Actually I was just out for a few days and my son was with us so we used the sofa bed for the first time.

First, I think the bed surface is crap. I brought along a gel mattress pad but there is still a noticeable dip in the middle. I think if we have another overnight guest I will bring an air matress to put on top.

Second, we were able to full extend and use both recliners. The one on the right (seating position) would open fairly easily without issue. For the other side I merely lowered the legs that support the end of the sofa bed, extend the recliner and then put the legs back down. From then the recliner worked fine until you need to close it up then just drop the foot of the bed again.

In our opinion ("our" being my wife and me), the sleeper sofas that come in the Reflections are good for neither sleeping nor sitting. We removed ours and placed it in storage in case we need it for resale. It its place is my Ekornes Stressless recliner and footstool.

We did exactly that in our last trailer too. We also felt this couch is uncomfortable to sit in because the backs are too over stuffed on top so Deb removed some of the stuffing and it's slightly better. We will keep it because there will seldom anyone sleeping in it but it does leave a lot to be desired.

Appreciate your help! This gives me some advance ideas for storage. Glad to know the sleeper sofa is a Queen; hopefully we can direct the A/C away from it.

From your comments, and reading other threads, it sounds like we'll need to "deal" with the sleeper sofa. An air mattress that inflates and deflates easily may be a good option (and less bulky than a pillow-topper). We could ignore dips and sags and bars and slants when we were younger; not so much now. (Or maybe we just no longer WANT to!) Your explanation regarding making the recliners recline when the sleeper sofa is in the open bed position gives some hope. Can't wait to try this out.

    '

The Ekornes chairs are fantastic. I've decided to have no expectations as to the comfort - or lack thereof - of the furniture within the 5er, but we'll give it all a go for awhile, until we're royally fed up. Excellent comment about storing the sofa in case of resale. We can do that as well.
