I wondered that too, but never noticed a difference after installing the SideWinder, maybe because the weight is still sitting on top of the rear axle.

I use the superglide auto slider 20k hitch and the standard pin box that came on the solitude. I would like to switch to the morryde pin box I had on my last 5th wheel. It makes a huge difference. The only problem I have is pulling in and out of parking lots the 5th wheel will just touch the bed rails. I need more height for more clearance between truck bed and 5th wheel - any thoughts ???

Don - Pullrite has two different height foot kits for auto autoslider. The difference is 1 1/2". Not sure which feet are on your slider but see attached. Call Pullrite to see if this option may work for you or see if they have other options. I talked to a Pulllrite customer service about this a year or so ago and service was prompt and knowledgeable.

I will reach out to them when I get home. The problem is this hitch is about 11 years old as I had it in my last truck. This model isn’t even made anymore.
Next time the new truck comes so will a new style hitch 😂
    Thanks again
