    Air Compressor

Anyone have any suggestions on a portable air compressor to take along on the road? We are very close to
hitting the road full time. Would love to keep my tires at proper pressure.

One thing I'd like to mention, is that the small pancake style compressors that will get you to 110 lbs. has worked very well for me. They aren't fancy, but it gets the job done, and you can take them anywhere. Some of the high quality on-board units cost a fortune, and in the long run won't do much more than a $100.00 cheapie unit.

I may have missed it in the other thread, but be cautious about tankless compressors. A tank on a compressor serves the added function of collecting water that condenses out of the air when it's compressed so that it can be drained and doesn't make it into the tire. Water in a tire can cause some real balance problems.

I carry a small Dewalt compressor ordered from Home Depot for $129, up to 120 psi. Five years old and no problems.
