Filling Fresh Water Tank
Hey Everyone, I've been following this forum and learning a lot...thank-you!
We purchased a 2800h earlier this year and really love it. We've only been out once so far and will be going again this weekend.
To fill the fresh water tank in our previous trailer, we had to unscrew a cap and put a hose down the tank until it over flowed. If we ran out of water when we were camping, we could fill jugs at the filling station and bring them back to the trailer and fill the tank again.
With the 2800bh, we have to screw on the hose to our station and turn on the faucet to fill the tank.
Does anybody know a way to fill the fresh water tank if you run out of water when at the campsite without bringing the trailer to the fill up station?

The on board pump can be used to draw water from a portable container and pump it into the water tank. It is the same valve settings as used to sanitize the water tank, only with clean water.

Thanks Rob! So just put one end of the hose in the portable container and screw the other end to the station on the trailer, and turn on the water pump?

Filling Fresh Water Tank
Another option is to buy a water transfer pump. We use this at group camps where we pump water direct from the container to the tank. Needs another hose to make this complete though. One for input and one for output.

Wait a sec. The imagine trailers should all have a gravity fill option as well as the option to fill the tank from the station. Mine is on the front side of camper. (Door side). It is a black cap. I think that is what you are looking for here.

Wow very strange that the gravity fill is not on your 2800. I would ask GD if that was an option they put in after you bought it, and if so they may give dealer instructions to retrofit it on yours on them.
