Leak between awning and sidewall?
Is it normal for water to leak between the awning and the side wall when it rains? It streams down the side of the trailer. Or is this something I can have repaired?

Not normal. The entire length of the awning should be securely attached to the sidewall and no water should be coming thru.

You should have caulking on the top edge of the awning frame where it meets the side of the trailer. Grab a ladder and take a look. It may just be that the caulk wasn't applied correctly and they missed a section.

I had same problem. I had no caulking at all so I think they missed this at the manufacturer.

Is there a joint in the awning mounting strip?
Most leaks under the awning come from that joint, and are an easy fix by adding caulk to the joint.Steve- Inventory Manager at Tom Schaeffer's RV, Shoemakersville, PA www.tomschaeffers.com

I just noticed today this was happening as well between my awning and wall of camper and water running down side of camper. What is the best fix or do I need to take it to dealer?
