2800BH roof bubbles??
Hello, I have a 2016 2800BH. On my last trip I was on the roof to clean off any leaves or pine needles before closing the slide and noticed on the door side of the roof, it has ripples and soft bubbles all along the edge, front to back. Looks to me like the roof material was pulled or stretched back when being installed. Is this going to cause future leaks or problems? Any help would be great. I can send pics if needed, let me know. Thank-you, James.

Some bubbles are normal for EDPM and TPO roofs.
They will come and go.Steve- Inventory Manager at Tom Schaeffer's RV, Shoemakersville, PA www.tomschaeffers.com

My 2600 has the same thing. Ripples all along the door side. Both GD and dealer dismissed as normal.

Hello, Thanks for the info. Just seems strange that the entire roof is nice, flat and secured except for the one edge. The wrinkles are about 6-8" in from the edge and go out to the edge, the whole length of the trailer. Thanks for your input again.

I haven't figured out what all to travel with to clean off the top of the slides.

The ladder I have was installed by the dealer. I was told that Grand Design at the time did not have a stock ladder for the 2800 due to the skylight over the shower but was designing one to fit. it took about 6 weeks to get one but it looks just like the ladders on the largest travel trailers and 5th wheels made by Grand Design. It`s black and the bottom is shaped like a hoop step. Please contact Grand Design for availability and also they will only sell to a dealer, so also ask your dealer. If you go to the Grand Design website you should be able to see a pic of their ladders on some of the different models. I hope this helps some, James.

Since I have the ladder I just use a broom to sweep off the top of the slide and awning before closing up. Good luck with getting a ladder, It really makes the rear look complete. I will try to send you a pic if I can.
