    JT Strongarm install on 303RLS

I would like to install JT Strong Arms on my 303. I have the gas line on the curbside frame where the arm from the front landing gear would mount. I was wondering how others have dealt with this.

    Hey Kevin & Ginger,

Do some digging using the search tool in the upper right corner. There is detailed info and pictures on JT Strong Arms on a 303. I was on a course to add these until I figured out that a pin tripod could add just as much stability. Lots of discussion to be found on that, as well.

Thanks. I did search but didn't find anything specific to the gas line. I'll try again. I have the Anderson Ultimate 5th Wheel Connection hitch and don't have the kingpin available to use a tripod.

I have to dig back through previous conversations, but there is a version of the tripod with a ball on top that would work with your Anderson hitch.

I installed JT Strongarms on our 337RLS, huge difference in stability. On our street side frame rails with the propane line on it, there was room next to the propane line to drill the holes for the frame mount. I didn't have to alter anything.

Kevin & Ginger--JTs were installed front and rear on our 303 by the dealer and I do not recall seeing any problems with propane line interference. Maybe you could post a picture(s) of the area you are concerned about and I can look closer at ours and share pictures of the install in that/other areas as you may like to see. By the way we can really tell the difference when using these vs when not........they work very well at keeping RV movement to a minimum.

I installed a set of these on our previous 5th wheel and transferred them over to the 303. Straight bolt on installation taking about a half an hour. I don't know how they compare to the Strongarms but they eliminate side to side motion at the front of the trailer.

All the gas lines on my 303RLS were on the street side going from front toward the rear directly in the center of the I-beam. Where the soft hose from the regulator joins the hard line, I installed a 90 degree elbow, then another one to form an offset. Then installed a 12" nipple followed by two more 90 degree elbows which put the remaining pipe back in the original location. By shortening the original 48" pipe to a 36" pipe all connections remained the same and the location for the JT Strong Arm mount was open for installation.

One might consider doing the same regardless of which side the gas line is on.

Scott and Jan, thank you. I had them on our previous 5th wheel and they made a big difference. There may be room to the side but the gas line appears to be centered on the beam. I'll do some more measuring.

Thanks Rob. I appreciate the offer but it's not necessary. I've already ordered the JT Strongarms. I was very please with them on my last 5th wheel.
