    Refrigerator slide edge coming apart

Hi all. I own a 2015 Reflection 317RST. I've owned it a little over a year now with some issues but all have been resolved by either the dealer or GD. The most recent was the Kantleak valve a couple weeks ago. GD promptly sent me a replacement which is now in place. Yesterday when opening the refrigerator slide I heard a cracking and popping sound. Upon further inspection I found the outside bottom edge of the slide, the plastic edging on the corner has popped off. The cracking and popping sound was this plastic edge getting hung up on something and breaking. See attached pics. Has anyone else experienced this? Is this edging act as a moisture barrier for the corner?

I just got a call from Dwayne at GD. He has authozide me to take the my 317RST to the dealer to have repaired. I asked him if this was something I can repair if so, it would save me a trip. He's sending out a replacement glide but if I find that it's something I can't do myself he has kept the option open for me to take it to the dealer. Thankyou GD for your awesome CS.. This is my 5th RV and I've never had this type of treatment from Forest River or Keystone.

You can do the repair yourself with a little time and care. You MUST make sure you clean up all the old glue and residue off before putting new back on. You have to jack up the slide when it is extended a couple of inches to be able to clean it off and get the new skit installed. Be careful, take your time clean it up well, get some help putting the new one in with the double sided sticky on it so it does not get contaminated.

    Best wishes on your repair!

    Unhappy Sad Camper

I know this post does not belong in the tech corner but I wanted to post here so I could let everyone at GD how much we appreciate the great customer service we have received from all the people at Grand design. On our way home from a week trip we were returning from Tennessee to Georgia when we encountered a sudden and severe thunderstorm.A large tree blew down across my rig doing $3700 damage to my 2013 Ram and totally destroyed my 2015 rls337. I loved my 337 but will probably be looking at another brand due to the fact the only dealer close to me had my rv for 5 weeks to repair spider cracks. when I called to see if it was ready I was told by the manager that my paperwork got lost and my camper was out in the graveyard as he described it,whatever that meant. told me he could get it fixed in another week. Called back after a week and it was still untouched. When i asked to speak to the manager was informed he was no longer there. I explained he said my camper was in the body shop and was informed they don't have a body shop of there own. picked camper up unrepaired and was to return it this week . JD intervened and had it set up where I was supposed to get it fixed maybe this week. With all the great products Grand Design makes and the wonderful customer service looks like they could possibly screen out some of there useless dealers. Thanks so much Grand Design for all you have done
