Well, I would make a change that fits in the safety category.
RV's are not subject to the same electrical codes as stix and brix homes, but we should make every effort to follow those codes when we can.
Specifically, this installation should be "finger safe". The rule is, can you touch any live point with your finger? In your installation the answer is yes because there are no barriers on the termination screws. Plastic shields should be fashioned and secured to put the finishing touch on a good installation.

I’d think that the plywood which encloses the entire cabinet serves the very same purpose. It should keep fingers about 4 feet away! [emoji2]

My surge guard (progressive 50 amp) checks the quality of the power at the pedestal before it turns the power on to the rv. Given that scenario, one day when we moved to a different site, the protector would not pass power. Turns out that they had a neutral issue in the pedestal. BUT, that scarred the protector to a point where, after the wiring was repaired, the protector would not pass power. I called progressive to take advantage of their lifetime warranty and they sent a new one overnight.

Because it was a plug in model, I was able to bypass it by just plugging into the ped with a cheaper spare protector. Precisely the reason why I didn’t install a hard wired unit.

Given that, you did an amazing job installing that protector. Like El Rojo mentioned, you wouldn’t get that great of an install from the dealer. Did you get the model with the remote monitoring on your phone?
