    Propane tank size question

i am looking at a Solitude 369RL-R, and since I currently have a Motorhome with a 50 gallon tank I have some concerns regarding the size of the propane tanks especially considering the 35,000BTU furnace. Can you use the next size up tank? I will use this for a 4 month period from November to the end of February in Central California (Pismo Beach Area) and it can get cool at night. Not certain how much propane we will be using. I have had TTs before and the tanks (same size) were adequate but I don't think the furnaces were quite as large but more importantly the interior volume was much smaller.
So to sum up I guess I am asking 2 questions
    1. Can a larger size LP tank fit in the compartments?
    2. In a climate were highs are in the mid to upper 60s and the lows in the 40s with keeping the heat at 67 or so (what the DW tends to like) how often am I going to be going through tanks?
    Thanks!

40# propane tanks fit nicely in my 380th. As long as you have a 6" or so above your current 30# tanks they should fit.

I have not upgraded the tanks on my unit, but I was told that 40's should fit.

I have added the 40,s to my 2014 369rl. Fits no problem. I did need to purchase a longer threaded rod for the extra height of the tanks to hold them in place.

Yeah I can definitely see having to do that. I think if we dry camped or camped in cooler weather I would certainly do the upgrade. However, as it is things are good.

    Hello,
One thing you might consider is if you have shore power you may want to just run the fireplace or buy a small electrical heater. Many people report that is all that is needed for the temperatures you are listing.

I would order one with a Heat Pump ($268.00) and it already has a fire place that will provide some heat. A small electric heater in the bedroom and you will go down into the 40s.

A single fireplace in our 365 was enough for the temps you're asking about. Two would run you out down into the 20's. I only ran the furnace to keep pipes from freezing once we hit 18 or so.
