Question about outside steps on 29RS
does anyone know if it is possible to replace the entrance steps on the 29RS GD fifth wheel with 4 steps instead of 3? We went on our maiden voyage this past week and i Have found the steps to be too tall between each other.
Andddd, the steps inside the rv stepping up to the bedroom are ridiculous! Are all the owners young individuals? What about those of us that have the beginning of knee and hip issues. Guess we really should have looked at this rv closer before buying.
I do love it, just NOT the stairs!

RV Steps
Took our 29RS to Lippert in Indiana and had their new 4-step aluminum unit installed along with a few other things. I had emailed Coleen Walls who gave me the following response:
$ 285.59 part number 358991 Quad aluminum step.Labor would be $150.00
I think installation wouldn't be too much of a problem since they are fairly light, but I was also having auto-level installed, so decided to let them do the entire thing. The 4 step is a lot easier, plus I added a third step inside as we felt two weren't enough (both of us are getting older).
Good luck,
John

Thanks so much for the info. My husband bought a 4 step from PPL for about that price. He did the work of taking the original one off. When he put the two units together side by side in the garage, he saw that the new one was about 1/4 inch wider and it would not fit So we had to send it back. It was disappointing for all the work he did. Could you please send me the phone number or email for Coleen please?
Also, I'm very interested to know how you added the third step inside the RV? Can you send me pictures? [email protected]
The current steps are way too tall. I have short legs to boot!

I just replaced the steps in my rig with the Torklift Glowstep Revolution model A8004. This is the 4 step model for a 27.5" wide box. Remove 4 bolts and take old steps out. Put new steps in and tighten the 4 bolts. Simple swap. I paid $494 at Tweetys. The new Solitude's are now shipping with these steps.
