Looking for Rob US Army retired
I am having the exact same issue with one of my tires that Rob posted about back in April. I completely wore out my passenger rear tire driving from Arizona to Ohio. I just bought my rig in March so these are new tires. All other tires are wearing as they should. The bad tire is wearing from the outside edge in. The first 2 or 3 inches from the outside are completely worn.
I read all the stuff in the forums about what the issue could be, but I did not see a final posting from Rob on the final resolution of his problem. Rob, if you are reading this, or if anyone out there knows what the resolution was I would be very interested in hearing about it. This is very frustrating. I'm going through the slow process of elimination (bad tire, bad alignment} but I suspect an axle problem.
Thanks in advance for any help.

Just got in off the road (travel day) and turned on the Mi-Fi. Where things stand at this time: the axles were aligned by the dealer in April and we put new Sailun load range G tires on the rig (had lost a second tire to road debris on I-16 coming out of Savannah). Our problem wheel - the right front - is still slightly toed-in, but we do not yet have enough miles on the new tires to assess wear patterns. If we continue to have issues, I'm thinking about having the entire suspension system replaced with the MORryde independent suspension system and the trailer leveled in the process.

I had the same issue on a previous trailer. It was a bent axle.

That's what I'm afraid of - and GD has already implied that I "curbed" it, which I know I haven't. (Think about it... if I had hit something with the right front wheel, it would have bent the axle/spindle backward, creating toe-out. The wheel is toed-in. Draw your own conclusion). That's why, if I end up having to pay for a new axle, anyway, I'm just going to go all the way with the MORryde system.

I also agree with Rob that my problem is probably a bent axle. I have an appointment on the 12th of July with a shop that specializes in big rig alignment. They said they could tell me if I have a bad axle or not. So far Grand Designs position is that I need to have it checked out independently. This certainly makes me wonder about the validity of our warranties. I also am 100% sure I have not curbed my rig. That's not to say that whoever delivered my rig to the dealer did not curb it, but that should not be my problem.
By the way, does anyone know how much a new axle costs installed?

We had Mor/ryde axles put on our Solitude. We also added disc brakes and a king pin at the time. Being full time RVers and being close to the gross weight we elected to go with 8k axles with a medium spring. The total cost was around $6200 (2014). FYI I wouldn't add the king pin again, we lost the rubber spring in about a year. Would I do it again...not sure. We we're headed to Alaska and I'm sure it helped a lot on that trip. We we're brand new to 5th wheels at the time and got talked into it (which wasn't hard) because I always wanted the best. FYI I also put Goodyear 114 H rated tires on the rig. I will say I never even had to add air to the tires on our Alaskan trip.
Our current Momentum has three axles with plenty of axle. It rides like it already has the Mor/ryde suspension on it. I also feel with 3 axles braking, I'm good with drum brakes too.
