Where did you go for the 4th of July?

I took our RV to Newport, Oregon to see the fireworks and a few sunsets. Also went to the Oregon Aquarium across the street from the RV park.

Newport Marina RV Park was full. Some come every year for many years with more then 1 RV in their group. Our view was ok. The light pole was right in the was and they did not turn off the lights. We will come back another time, but will not get space 85.

Newport and the Oregon Coast is a great area (we used to live in Waldport, fireworks on the 3rd) to visit. We were at Horse Shoe Bend on Beaver Lake, Arkansas

Still camping on the shores of the Piankatank River here in VA. No fireworks this year as most everything were all rained out.

Nah, I'm too cheap, infield with hookups is close to $1000. We camped outside turn 1 and the fireworks were amazing.

As far away from campgrounds as possible! Maybe we're old farts, but we don't need that noise and aggravation. Unsupervised kids with explosives, yeah that makes sense, and this includes kids up to the age of an AARP membership. Then let's throw in some alcohol into the mix while we're at it. The campground office is helpless in trying to control this so no use calling to complain. No, we gave up camping over the 4th many, many years ago and don't miss it. We realize what's fun for me is different than for you, so we just stay home and watch the city professional fireworks show.
