    ^^^^^ Jim nailed it!!!

I always try to pack at least 2 of everything.... Pretty sure my wife sneaks behind me and takes them both out as I can't find either when I need them!

TBH, we just emptied the trailer out at home after being on the road 9 months then reloaded for the next 11 month road trip. We dumped a lot of unused cookware and dishes, 1 of 2 grills, a few weird tools (gasp!), 4 varmint rifles, a complete reloading set and about 30% of our clothes. I mean, who REALLY needs pants anyways?

As a general rule, if I carry something forb6 months and never use it, I get rid of it. There are a few exceptions,

It's amazing what I took out of the old TT that didn't make it back into the new one. Mostly kid stuff, but a socket set, torque wrench, Coleman stove and grill tools come to mind as well.

There's only one Murphy's Law: "Anything that can go wrong, will go wrong." My dad used to add, "... at the worst possible time." There is, however, Jones' corollary to Murphy's Law: "Murphy was an optimist."

As Mr. Boyer has said, if we haven't used something is several months, it goes. We gotten rid of more stuff than we've acquired since going full-time.

There are things I carry that I have rarely used, like some of the tools and spare parts I carry every trip. BUT, either another fellow camper has needed something, or once or twice I've had to make a temporary repair and had to drag everything out just to find that one fitting...

    And Chris! c'mon man...for our sakes...PANTS!!!

Gary mentioned taking out the ladder just before our last outing because he can get on the Roof easy enough. I said no, leave it. Good thing because you can't reach the awning motor any other way when it is extended and it fails to retract like ours did yesterday . So keep a ladder and a cordless power drill with a deep well, thin walled 7/16 socket

We bought a king pin tripod gadget thinking it would make a huge difference in the stability of our camper. Used it a few times, didn't see much improvement. Went with x-chocks between the tires and left the tripod at home. Others may have a different experience with the tripod, but to us it just added a lot of weight to carry it around and not really need/use it.
