I went with a 24" Samsung and MORryde TV1-25H mount. Both work well.

I take the TV down before traveling. I used one of the universal RV mounts that the TV just slides in and out of. Then the TV goes back in the box and is stowed under the bed for travel.

I have heard several things about the tv backer plate. The GD dealer told me the plate was wood. I read here it was steel. Since the RV frame is aluminum I would think it would be aluminum. Can someone confirm what the backer plate material is?

The magnet will tell you whether the backer is steel or some other material. (It is a relatively thin steel sheet bonded to the back of the luan ply on our Reflection and reported as such in many other discussions). MORryde makes the best mount arm and the TV can be left in place folded and latched back against the wall for travel. http://www.morryde.com/products/69-e...%2F1-tv-mounts
