Reflection 303rls Awning rail coming loose

Hi, I know that many people have had trouble with their awnings. We, too, have started to have a problem. The rail which which holds the fabric is coming loose from the trailer wall. We are not full timers and rarely use the awning. We have had our trailer out about 8 times since we purchased it in 2014. How do we get this taken care of.

    Thanks,
    Peggy

The "fix" is to replace at least the end screws with special rivets. These look like regular "pop" rivets, but are different.
Search on "rivet" in the upper right corner for more info.
BTW, the usual cause for this is winding the awning in too tightly, since there is no limit switch to stop it.

Ok, I just talked to Jerry at GD. He is sending out rivets for my husband to put on awning rail. We appreciate the goodwill as it is out of warranty.

Wow! Thank you Rob! That was a quick response. We will get the rivets and fix it. I also appreciate the tip on winding it back in!

    Hi Peggy (@dpkinney),

Thanks for the update! Unless I hear differently from you, I'll consider this handled/closed.

    Best regards,
