Cool Help with Wheel Stud Replacment

Helping a friend replace a stripped wheel stud on his 2015 Solitude. i have not removed the wheel to inspect way the stud is removed. In the past i would remove the wheel and hammer the stud through the hub and then insert the new stud through the hole and pull it tight with a impact gun. Does this sound correct or will i have to remove the hub and press it together? Any comments?

    Thanks,

    Todd,

Because the brake drum and hub are one piece, the backside of hub can't be accessed without pulling the hub. Since you have to remove the hub anyway, a press is a lot better way to remove & replace the stud. You will probably need at least a new rear grease seal and the rest depends on condition of bearings, grease and brakes.
