Are responders quoting hand-calculated mileage or lie-o-meter numbers?

Hand calculated. 55mph=27 62mph=24 68mph=20. The pressure on the go pedal directly affects mileage.

Okay, I cheat. Banks monster duals with Banks upgrades, that's all I'm admitting to.

2003 F250 crewcab 7.3 w/60 hp tow on tuner and 131K miles. Pulling 323BHS, we're getting 11 mpg approx. Without towing, we usually see 20 mpg.

Vehicle and RV in signature (SRW truck). Duramax with engine brake. Allison 6-speed auto with tow-haul mode and the 3.73 rear end (common in all Duramax trucks in the HD series). The 20" wheel and tire option on the truck may have resulted in slightly higher gearing (O.D. of the tires) than with other wheel options - I don't know. Last weigh-in (Escapees SmartWeigh) the trailer scaled at 13,175 for a total of 20,600 for truck and trailer combined (with driver and full fuel). Towing on the highway, I stick to 67 MPH max - it's a sweet spot for the engine and tranny as well as being good for safety and fuel economy. Towing, we average about 11.5 MPG overall. Not towing, I get 19.5 highway and 16 around town. This is an emissions/DEF truck, so I loose 1 or 2 MPG during the regen mode. The quoted mileage figures are long-term, coast-to-coast, all types of roads and include the regen cycles.

2900 kms or about 1800 miles towing very mountainous terrain in NFld. I averaged 13.8 mpg (that's Cdn gallons) which is about 17% higher than U.S. calculations. The truck has the 3.31 rear end ratio. Have to keep the RPM's up in order to climb hills. Hopefully will get better with age, most things do
