    Black tanks filling quickly

We had a jayco designer for 8 years and never had to dump our black water before our 2 week stay was over. We have been at the campsite for 2 days and our black water indicator says our black tank is 2/3 full. It has been only my husband and I except for a short visit by the grand kids. I'm confused as to how it could be full so fast, since my grandchildren have camped with us for a week at a time and this has never happened. Is there some reason the tank would fill up so fast other than because of using the toilet? We have a 350m and would greatly appreciate any ideas.

You could just have TP stuck on the 2/3 sensor.

I did some research online and that's what I read too. I was shocked when it read 2/3 full. I just wanted to be sure there was no other reason for it to be full. Especially since we don't put toilet paper in the toilet.

Also keep in mind the Jayco and GD tanks aren't necessarily the same calibration, size or configuration.

Which black tank are you talking about as you have two...don't think that they're equal size. I understand that the sink in the half bath is also piped to that black tank which will make it fill faster. As mentioned, the indicated levels are notoriously inaccurate.

I was talking about the front one. We haven't used the back on this trip. This is only our second camping trip since we got it.

The gauge for the black tank in our 380 has never read less than half full. I just know we can go 10 days if needed.

Both our black and one grey tank constantly show 2/3 full until I dump them. I can go about 10 days on the black tank.
We recently read that using Calgon and dish detergent ( one cup each) will help keep the tanks and sensors clean. We are hosting at a campground for two mo this without the septic connection and are trying the above to see if that helps. Good thing is we are next to the dump station, and have a portable tote, and with that I have been able to gauge how full the tanks are with normal usage over time.
our tanks are 90 gallons on grey and 45 for black.

Thank you all so much for the replies. I feel better as 10-14 days is what I was expecting too.

I don't know if anyone else has noticed this, but I found that if you hold down the button when checking the tank for a few seconds, it will often drop down to the next lower reading. That one generally seems more accurate.
