If you have the 3 inch Dexter axles then you have the 4400 pound models (just with the wrong hubs/bolt pattern and wrong springs). Ignore the hubs (you’d have to buy new rims). The springs are dirt cheap, just order a set of 2200 lb springs with the u bolts and new nuts, then swap them yourself. That solved all my issues. I added the Morryde heavy duty shackles while I was at it and the CRE3000 equalizers.

If you have warranty left you can get the springs for free but once I found the cost of them I would have just bought them locally and saved all the email headaches.

I just checked our new to us 2017 2800BH for this issue and it has a little rub spot on the pass-side front wheel area. I did all the measuring and have a little over 2 inches on the pass-side and around 2.75” on the drivers side.

We have the LCI 3500# axles with 3” tubes. My springs aren’t completely flat, but pretty close on the pass-side.

My camper has the UVW on the sticker as 6080#. Ive seen UVW at 5800 for the older 2800BH’s, and 6400 for the 2019’s. Do you guys recommend I go up to the 2200# springs?

No matter what it seems like I need a little more oomph than what she has currently. Checking Lipperts website, it looks like they have a 2000# spring that has 3 leaves instead of 4 in the 2200# spring. That may be a better option for my camper as I am a bit lighter than the 2018/2019 and newer.

**Update. I called Lippert technical support and asked them if there was anything they could do for this issue. After sending them a stack of pictures and all of the VIN/Serial #'s etc, they stated that my unit was outside of warranty (duh) but that as a goodwill gesture they would send out new springs.

I asked if they would upgrade the springs to the 2000# springs and they are working on whether they can do that or not. Either way, I'm happy they offered to provide help. When I receive the springs, I'll install with the Morryde equalizer and that should take care of things.

***another update. I received the 2000# springs and U bolt kit free of charge from Lippert. It took a few phone calls and just general persistence, but all in all they were great and very professional.

This weekend I’ll install them with the Moryde equalizer and wet bolt kit.
