The one I'm thinking of using attaches to current pin box, sets the fifth wheel 10 inches further from cab of truck, I have a short bed truck, need more room for turning.

What kind of trailer? I think you might put a lot of stress on the front frame

Repeating a point, B & W does not want sidewinders used with their hitches. Is this what you are referring to?

I had to Google this as well .
If you were to ask Lippert, I don't think they would be any too happy about the extended leverage on their pin box attachments to the frame. Why not just use a slider hitch ?

I have the Andersen ultimate 3220 hitch, pulled the 2016 montana 3791 just fine from Michigan to Georgia. Just can't turn too sharp. The extension won't work either, the back of the pin box would hit truck rail.

The heavy weight of the slider just not too appealing, the greasey mess. My Andersen weighs thirty pounds opposed to three hundred pullrite slider, we'll see

This is the closet thing to a extender I have seen in action. I have never used one just seen it used once no real comment on how well it works. The guy with it spent about hour probably 25 tries to get hooked up.

Like prk76925, Paul/Poppy's Fifth Wheel and others, we use the Andersen Ultimate. (Mine is turned so the ball is just slightly behind the axle.) With a 6.5' bed (crew cab) and a 337RLS, I can get the trailer at more than an 80 degree angle turning. We've yet to encounter a problem. To echo others, I would not - under any circumstances - consider any kind of extender on the pin box. It would cause too much stress on the original pin box, the receiver into which it bolt on the trailer frame, and the front of the trailer frame itself.
