    Single AC Performance

    Just a reference point . . .
Travelling all day today and arrived at 4:00 PM . . . 35C inside and out. (95F).
Turned on our single 13,500 BTU Atwood. Now 10:00 PM and cycling at 22C set point (72F)
Once the sun load is gone, the single AC can get the job done.

    Hi Rob,

Here in Texas, two A/C units very helpful to cool the trailer quicker and keep it comfortable in the afternoon. At other times? Yes, one unit is adequate, but nice to run the unit, where we aren't sitting!

We are adding a 22nd AC to our 2 yr old Reflection 337 this week. Our experience was like yours, Rob. We pondered the 22nd AC and the hubby finally came to this decision. If we can camp in any shade at all one AC works superbly. Setting up mid afternoon in extreme heat and no shade is the only issue. We are able to get another quiet Atwood from our dealer so that sealed the deal. And, thanks to Steve's editing skills......it's the second AC not the 22nd.

How do you get enough power to run 22 RVS? At 15 amps each, that would be 330 amp service! Just kidding, my keyboard does double clicking a lot! Glad you got an Atwood!

Wow. I'm usually more alert than that. Fat fingers and poor eyesight I guess.

I agree in the shade even when we were camping in southern Utah a couple weeks ago in 100+ deg. temps the single AC managed to make it comfortable, I tested it just to see if it could handle it. Although when I ordered our 303 I had a second one installed just to make certain and for a back up. The second unit really comes in handy when you are at a sight with no shade trees and it is also nice to run the one in the bed room area by itself when you are watching TV or run the one in the living room area when you go to bed. Nice and Quiet!
