San Diego to Orlando

Hello,

In the summer of 2017 I get a sabbatical from work and will be using the time to do a cross country trip starting from the West Coast.

I wanted to get advice from anyone for the first part of the trip which is San Diego, CA to Orlando, FL. I would like to travel along the I-10 for this leg and have stops in Phoenix and New Orleans so I am looking for RV parks in those areas and things to do plus anything else that you think is a not to miss stop and RV parks along this path.

If you want to see America, stay off the interstates. If you just need to get out to FL as fast as possible, you gotta do what you gotta do.
It's going to be hot and humid.

If you take I-40 you can see Grand Canyon Caverns by Seligman AZ. and then the Grand Canyon. After Flagstaff it gets hot also until maybe you get some relief in
the hills of the Ozarks.

If you take I-10 you can do White Sands Museum and Carlsbad Caverns. After that it is 3 days of Texas (nothing against you Texas, it's just a long drive across).
