New Reflections 297RSTS New owners Friday Aug 26th, 2016

We are upgrading from our 2006 Mallard 25ft. tag-along travel trailer. We have been very happy with our ole trailer, but no slides! There is a day/nite difference between the two! WOW!!!! Our only concern is with the extra length and weight? I know our 2005 Chev diesel has the power and should have no issues with towing it, but the size will be of some concern at first. All in all it is really exciting and we are looking forward to the first outing this weekend.

We are located in SW Washington state. Looking forward to all the posts. Everyone have a great campout!

Congratulations and welcome to the GD family. More specifics on your TV will allow people far more knowledgeable than me to comment on your truck/trailer combination and the safety of the two.

My truck is 05 Chev 2500 Duramax quad cab. It had no trouble with the 25ft Mallard "tag-a-long" so towing capacity should not be an issue. It's more about the length difference and the extra 3000lbs that will be an unknown. Parking and setup will be a bit challenging until I get use to allowing for the slides. I'll know more tomorrow when we pick up our new unit. As soon as I figure out how to add a signature I will.

Congrats and welcome to the family!
For slideout clearances I cut a piece of 1" X 2" to the length of the widest slide out. Then measure and mark the other smaller slides on that same piece of wood. One stick shows how far all the slides come out. Just keep it in a handy spot and away from firewood so you don't accidently burn it. Lol
    Enjoy your new Reflection!
