Norcold 1210 not cooling on 120V

Unit was not cooling. Frig part was warm, freezer was cool at best. It was running on 120v but not cooling. Switched it over to gas and still not cooling. I shut it off for 12 hours to "reset" itself. I also tapped on the coils to maybe loosen a clog. No codes showed on panel and the indicator light on the over heat switch was not lite.
Last night I turned it on again. The 120V would not start at all so I switched to gas. It fired right up. This morning frig was 37 degrees and freezer was -4 degree. So it works on gas. Again switched to 120V and nothing. 12v fuse was okay and 120v breaker is on.
Can you think of anything else to try before I call service to look at it. Still under warranty but trying to avoid a trip to the dealer.

    Thanks.

If you're cooling on 120V and not propane, it may be your heating element. Plenty of YouTube video on how to diagnose.

Is it plugged in? Can you check for 120 volts at outlet? Refrigerator needs minimum of 108 volts AC to work right

Okay, after shutting it off for 12 hour to reset itself and tapping on the tubes, the cooling is working. Cooling good on LP, not as cold on 120v AC but cold. But I am not hearing the circulation fan running. I checked the fuses in the control box they are good. I am thinking the fan should be running when ever the 120v AC is running. Unless the fan is on a thermostat that turns it on when needed. I don't remember. If there is no thermostat I'm thinking the fan must be bad.
    What do you think?

I don't know the model number of the Norcold in my 303RLS, but can tell you, that fan is thermostatically controlled. I'll hear it in the heat of the day, but not at night.

Try removing the two plastic vent covers, see if it cools better.

Thanks for the reply. The RV is in my shop now while I'm trying to fix the frig. I do have the covers off so I can access things. If the fan has a thermostat controlling it maybe having the covers off is providing enough circulation so the fan does not kick in.

Have you made any headway with this? I'm having the same issue right now with my Norcold 1210 and am suppose to be leaving for camping tomorrow.

Frig is working good. I shut it off for 12 hours. Chance to maybe reset itself. Took off the two covers out side and tapped on the pipes on the frig back that the ammonia flows through. Just lite tapping with a rubber mallet anywhere I could reach them. Both gas and 120v are working again. Talked to a service teck at a local RV repair. He said the ammonia can form some solids that can close off a small orifice in the tubes and restrict the flow. That must be what happened to me. He also said off level causes the same problems with burnt ammonia also plugging that orifice. Good luck getting yours going.
