Black Metal Angle Strip On Floor Behind Couch - Screws Loose and Competely Out
Slid our rear couch out to do some cleaning and found three screws laying on the floor and nearly all the others loose. These screws attach the black metal angle strip to the wall and floor. All the loose and three screws laying on the floor came from those mounted to the wall……none from the floor section were loose. Most all the loose and the three screws tightened back up just fine however, there were three that did not do so and had to implement the old toothpick hole filling method. We have cleaned behind the couch before and never seen this before.
Anyone else had this happen ?.....and if not checked yet, maybe may wish to do so and see if you have the same thing occurring and share your findings. Any ideas as to why this happened and why now all of a sudden ? I assume this black metal angle iron strip is more than cosmetic (or not ?) to hide the joint area where floor and wall meet as there are many screws both in the floor and wall. If this is true, this is a little concerning.
