Maxxfan in bedroom won't shut off

As noted, the Maxxfan in the bedroom is open and running at #2 speed and it will not respond to the wall mounted control. I pulled the control from the kitchen fan which was operating normally and tried it on the malfunctioning unit , but it made no difference. Prior to delivery last year, both the BR and the kitchen fan were replaced by the dealer for the exact same problem.
Does anyone have experience dealing with this problem? I am far from my purchasing dealer and I don't find the local dealer trustworthy for service. I have called Maxxair, but could not get through and there was no way to leave a message. Left a message with Grand Design yesterday, but there has been no response.
We are leaving on an extended trip in 8 days so time is short for acquiring a replacement. We can do without the BR fan if I can find a way to cut the power to just that unit. Pulling the fuse cuts power to all the fans plus the BR overhead lights.
Any help/advice will be appreciated.

I just got going here on the West coast so hadn't had time to post. I did receive a call from GD Customer Service late yesterday in response to the message I left. We didn't really come up with a solution to the immediate problem and I am still have trouble getting though to the Maxxfan (AirExcell) folks on the phone. Planning to send them an email this AM.
