What WDH are you using on you Grand Design TT?

So I have not had a travel trailer for the last 5 years and need to get a Load Leveling/Weight Distribution hitch again for the new trailer. I need the 1000/10000 lb model. I used to have just the plain Reese Trunnion setup (not Dual Cam) worked ok. Now there seems to be a lot more choices out there. I was looking at the Reese Steadi-Flex and the Curt TruTrack does anyone have any experience with these? Are there much better models out there? I know Equal-i-zer is a good one also but I like the brake pad material on the Reese(should be less noise). All opinions welcome.

Because I'm pulling my 2950RL with a 1/2 ton truck (2004 Nissan Titan, big tow package) which tops out at about 5400 lbs, and the trailer is probably between 7500-8000 loaded I use a Propride 3P. If you don't know this hitch look it up. The best out there. Yes it is very expensive (picked mine up used on CL for about half price) but what price do you put on safety? No trailer sway, no big rigs sucking you over into their lane, you can tow with one hand if want to with confidence. There is a little learning curve to hooking it up but after you learn it doesn't take any longer than other wd hitches. Simply the best!

Equalizer has a sway bracket jacket for the bars to sit on and make it quieter. I bought some for my new camper but haven't tried them yet since I am waiting to get it.

Very happy with a Blue Ox. But if you want the best ProPride 3P.

I went with the Blue Ox and it worked well for us on our first trip this weekend. Even though I'm at about 1,000# tongue weight, I went with the 1,500# bars for a stiffer ride. According to Blue Ox, this is perfectly fine. We had no sway at all.

Joshwaa, I have a Blue OX 10,000 / 1,000 that I don't need anymore, used for 1 year, traded for a 5th wheel. I am in the Tampa area if you want to make a deal PM me. Works great, very good WD hitch setup in my opinion.
    Take care,

I have a Reese straight line dual cam 1,500 lb trunion bars and it has worked very well with my last two trailers. You have to set it up right and a bit of Vaseline on the dual cams keeps the noise down. Most any of the better brands will do a good job for you once you get them set up properly.

We use the Equalizer 12k with our F150 and 2800BH. Seems to work well!
