Newbie here, with no rig here yet. :(
Hi Everyone
My wife and I (and 2 dogs) are retiring next year around July and hope to full time it. We have been doing a lot of research and are pretty sure we are going to go with the Solitude 377 MB. We are interested in any thoughts about the unit. We recently bought our tow vehicle which is a 2014 Ram 3500 DRW 6.7 Turbo Diesel, with 8100 miles on it. The deal was too good to pass up and it gives a little time to get used to the larger truck.
We have a lot ahead of us from selling everything, planning the purchase of the trailer and accessories, residency status, to whole lot of other things that go into this decision. The hardest one was to go motorhome or fifth wheel. Glad that one is over, now we can focus in that direction.
Can't wait to start this new direction in our lives.

Welcome to the forum!!! Really glad to see you started with a capable tow vehicle. With that truck, you can buy any Grand Design 5th wheel you want. Many newbies start out with underpowered and/or overloaded trucks then start shopping for 5th wheels. So glad we won't need to tell you your pin weight is too heavy for your tow vehicle! Sorry, but I'm not familiar with the 377MB. Very interesting floor plan though. Have fun planning this next stage of your lives!

Welcome and congrats on your new truck. You might also look at the website RV-dreams.com. That site isn't brand specific but will help you with your change in lifestyle. Howard and Linda did it 11 years ago and documented everything. Now they put on seminars about moving from S&B to full time.

Welcome guys. VERY jealous of your retirement date, still got a couple of years left before I can make the transition, but enjoy your time off and whatever you decided to buy as your home on wheels.

Congrats on the new/barely used truck! I too am glad you did your homework and got big enough truck to safely handle your choice of fifth wheel. Hope to welcome you into the family soon.
