Kitchen gray water tank holds less than 25 gallons... 2014 337RLS

    2014 337RLS:

Just like the title says, "Kitchen gray water tank holds less than 25 gallons".
After the water tank fills up to the point of coming up in the sink, I drain it into my 25 gallon blue honey wagon and does not fill it up.
Is the stack vent too far into the tank? Is this something I can fix myself from inside the basement? Or does the dealer need to look at it?

Yes the pipe is in the tank too far. These tanks are only a few inches thick and if it's in there an inch, you've lost volume. I ended up taking it to the dealer and having him do it. Now however, I put a external valterra valve on the outside and open both grey tanks with the valterra closed to get more room.

    Mageorge,

Was it covered under warranty? or did they charge you?

Our tank only held about 18 gallons out of the assumed 34-35 gallons. Even after replacement it only held 25 gallons. Grand Design shipped a new tank to our dealer and they installed it under warranty.

I'm with Mike on this...installed a Valterra valve and have much more usable capacity. Easy, peasy. Also makes it much easier to use the honey wagon given the length of pipe from factory gate valves to the end of the drain.
