    Stoopid Newbie Question #271

Since most of our trips up until now have been weekenders, We've not been too concerned about cold stuff - like in refrigerator cold stuff (believe me.....I am excellent when it comes to making sure my beer is cold). So what I'm curious about is how do you guys handle refrigerator stuff. Do you cool down your frig the day/night before with your shore power and stuff it with cold stuff the day of the trip and don't open the door? Or do you run your frig on LP during the trip? Or???????

We cool ours down on AC the night before and pack it up the next morning with stuff from our home fridge. Also run it on propane while traveling.

It will normally take 24 hours for RV refrigerator to get cold enough to quit percolating

We plug ours in the morning and takes about 2 to 3 hours for the freezer to get down to minus 2 and the fridge down to 34 degrees. Pack her up and go. We have the residential fridge so cools just a little faster. We do put it in ECCO mode before leaving and towing for 12 hours it will hold those temps.
