Black Metal Angle Strip On Floor Behind Couch - Screws Loose and Competely Out

I posted this item in the Reflection Forum sometime ago and did not get any feedback....here is the link: http://www.mygrandrv.com/for...-Competely-Out

I would think this issue could apply to possibly any GDRV with a rear couch so I wanted to re-post to see if anyone else has seen this and/or ask those of you with a rear couch to pull your rear couch out and see if you have the same thing going on. I am not overly concerned about this as everything else looks fine but non-the-less still perplexing.

    Thanks, Dan

We replaced the rear sleeper sofa in our unit with my Ekornes Stressless recliner and ottoman, so the metal strip you are talking about is fully exposed. We noticed from the get-go that the screws would loosen and back out - some of them all the way - during travel. I pulled all of them an put some Super-Glue on the threads before screwing them back in. I haven't had any back out since then (about a year and 10K miles).

Rob--thanks much for the information........sounds like exactly the same thing we had. Ours were all wall screws that came lose and were out......all the floor ones were nice and tight. Still interesting why this happened.......flexing from rough roads/gusty strong side winds/or ?/etc.

Looks like time for super/gorilla or other type glue.
