how to use eze lube system?

There has been numerous post on the EZE LUBE bearing system. I fail to find anything in writing ( including the usb manual I received with my 369 trailer.) When looking At my manual about greasing bearings, all I find is how to hand pack bearings???? I would like instruction on how to use this eze lube system without blowing grease into my brakes???????????????? P S have been packing trailer wheel bearings by hand for over 30 years without grease in brakes, unlike the EZE LUBE system, ( EZE to lube brakes) !!!!!!!

When I discussed this with Lippert at the rally, they stated that the bearings should be cleaned, repacked and new grease seals installed as part of routine maintenance. They told me the Ezelube was for initial assembly and should not be used for maintenance.

I'd suggest you contact Lippert directly if you have questions. You can also post a message on the GD Facebook page and ask for Emily Staley to answer it. She responds to all posts that mention Lippert.

Using the Eze Lube zerk fitting seems to be predicated on KNOWING that the rear seal will prevent grease from getting past it and on to the brakes. Eze Lube even says in their instructions that the bearings should be hand packed and the seal replaced if there is any question about the condition of the seal. Maybe there was a time when these rear seals were more robust than they are today . . . but I don't know how anyone could trust that the OEM seal will retain grease, based on all the evidence available.

I was wrong about what I was told. Lippert does inject grease during assembly, but not through the zerk. Sorry about any confusion.

After hubs are powder coated, they are loaded with bearings and seals. They go to a grease tables withe a spindle. Grease is injected through that spindle into the bearings. Hubs should be turned during that process. Hubs are then installed on axels, lock nut and cotter pin is installed. Then dust cap

In theory it does. But to get the grease to the front it needs to pass through the rear bearing. If you apply grease pressure very lightly while spinning the wheel you probably won't blow out the seal. But you won't know if you did. That's the problem.

The question I have is this . Do lippert axles work the same as the dexter axles as shown here
https://www.dexteraxle.com/docs/defa...sn=cfe1e328_42 Does the lippert zerk fitting feed both bearings, the rear and front bearing ??
